Safeguarding Policy

Please see below our approach to safeguarding. It’s an issue we take seriously and, as former teachers, we know how seriously you take it too. Nothing is more important than the welfare of your students and we believe we should be clear about what we do to ensure they are safe in our workshops.

Safeguarding policy

Enhanced DBS Checks

All of our staff have current enhanced DBS checks. Even those who do not visit schools. Our team will carry copies of DBS certificates when visiting your school.

Handling disclosures

Prior to a workshop commencing, the workshop facilitator will ensure that students are aware that any disclosures they wish to make should be directed to an appropriate member of staff at your school. We will consult with you before running the workshop to establish exactly who you want children to make a disclosure to. The children will be made aware that a member of the Delphis team is not the appropriate person to make a disclosure to and that any information that was disclosed to a Delphis team member would need to passed on to the appropriate person at your school. Children will be made aware that we cannot keep secrets for them.

Mobile Phones

Delphis team members will not bring mobile phones into the classroom.

Delphis will not photograph, video or record audio of any part of the workshop without permission. We will always let you know beforehand if we would like to make any recordings and ensure that we obtain consent.
